LA Phil + wild Up | Next on Grand National Composers Intensive

Right now Los Angeles is an incredible place to be a young artist. It’s teeming with life, new art, culture, complexity, and balance. We love making music here, and we think this is ideal ground to build the future on.

All of us in wild Up are interested in finding futures paths for classical music that make our art form thrive. And we couldn’t be more excited to search for that future with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, an organization that is a world leader in new music. Together, we’ll provide an experience for these ten young composers unlike any education program that exists. One in which they’ll work alongside wild Up and legendary mentor composers to quickly create, viscously edit, and produce powerful new work.
