Rountree Speaks at USC’s Arts Leadership Conference
7:30 PM

Los Angeles , CA 90089
Leaders who both understand what’s happening and are committed to finding creative, original ways of working are necessary if the arts are to thrive in this continuously changing environment. ARTL – the Arts Leadership program at USC – acknowledges the changing environment and is committed to the role of art, artists and the artistic process in defining and reshaping this world. In keeping with the underlying philosophy of ARTL, the theme of this conference is “Arts Leadership for a New Era.” With this edition, we hear from artists and arts workers about how they are creating organizations, programs, ensembles and lifestyles in response to the changes facing the arts world.
The participant/speakers are drawn from working professionals in the international, national and local Los Angeles arts communities as well as current graduate students in the ARTL program. We believe this coming together of veterans, professionals and emerging artists produces a dynamic mix of ideas and practices that will make this an unprecedented learning opportunity for all participants.
The symposium runs April 24th – 26th — the full schedule is HERE
